| Great racing action at the Spyder Speedway November 16th. Is this turning into an annual Nor Cal event? For the second year in a row the bay area crew showed up to get their tjets tuned. The tjet racing was intense! Everyone at the race was looking forward to the monster tjet race, the Fray. First and third place both used the new tjet body by Bob Marketos. It should make quite a splash at the big event in February. The body performed well during the race, and were quickly snatched up after all was said and done. Curtis from the North Bay took the win with 67 laps, and a new record low time 9.371. He crushed the old record of 9.6. Second place went to Mark with 65 laps and a low lap of 9.379. Third went to Bob M. with 65 laps and a low lap of 9.635. Nice job! The highlight of the event was watching David push his olive green charger hard into the corners. Thumbing his nose at all the collectors out there! (picture) HOPAC Club Stock was also run later in the evening to satisfy the hunger of the magnet folks. The G+ and G3's were out to take no prisoners. The G3's are coming along nicely, still need some tuning time but they will be right there soon. Billy set a new record with a low lap of 3.581 and won the race with 90 laps. His car wasn't working well he said, boo hoo. Paul, Todd and TIm followed him closely with 87 laps a piece. The real slap in the face was that Billy's record lap came in the Yellow gutter lane, ouch! | ||||||||||||||
