Immediately following the MARC regularly scheduled Production and Super Stock events the first ever T-Jet race competition was held on the highly scenic 84’ White Devil Speedway in Manchester NH. With average racing lap times of 12 seconds and a very twisty layout concentration is paramount to a successful run.

The field was made up of 14 drivers and with race prizes generously donated by BOB’S SUPER PRODUCTS, JW’s T-JET SPEED PARTS and FANDANGO RACING PRODUCTS everyone went home a winner!

A beautiful array of cars took to the track as it seemed like yellow was the dominant color for the race (thanks JackJ)

Some of the best side by side fender rubbing racing occurred between Hakim Harris and Paul Avis as lap after lap they went at it swapping the lead several times neither willing to give an inch as spectators and marshals alike were glued to the edge of their seats!

Newcomers Doran and Kevin Dibble arrived at the track as spectators and left as racing competitors as the lure of T-Jet racing proved to great a force to resist. Kevin didn’t want to miss a single part of racing, from driving to marshaling. Maybe they will be the next MARC father & son team. If so that would make a total of 5 father & son MARC team members!

With 14 racers vying for the top 4 spots in the main the action looked like this.

Kevin Dibble 36
Cedric Prevoe 44
Bob Ferrara 45.6
Bobby Ferrara 45.8
Tom Gray 45.10
Doran Dibble 46
Marc Gosselin 48
Robin Smith 49
Mike Gow 51.0
Hakim Harris 51.17
Paul Avis 53.1
Mark McQueeny 53.3
Bruce Beaulieu 53.6
Dave Kaiser 55

With the top 4 spots in the main being so close the fans knew they were in for some great competition and they weren’t disappointed! The racing went back and forth for the lead all through the 4 heats with the winner being decided in the last 15 seconds of racing as the order of finish looked like this Mark McQueeny 56.14, Dave Kaiser 56.9, Bruce Beaulieu 56.4 and Paul Avis 54 having fallen off the leaders pace and in the last 15 seconds falling into Bruce’s lane to slow him downL.

Racing 3 separate classes makes for a long day but thanks to everyone who stayed, the inaugural T-Jet race at the White Devil Raceway was a huge success!
