Big Roy’s / Penland - Slim Line Challenge.

He received a Road Race Replica, Repco Brabham body (courtesy of Philly T-Jets), 6 pair of Thunder Slims Racing Brushes and 3 sets of Thunderslicks silicone tires.
The day started out like a normal day of racing but everyone spent a bit more time testing their Slim Lines before entering their cars and having them "impounded" til the race time. We ran about 5 or 6 of our normal classes before it was time to run the event.

It was a fairly close event with several of the heats being decided by less than a full fender length, and on more than one occasion, the faster car didn't win because it couldn't keep the nose and pickup shoes down on the track. The intensity was great with lots of nervous hands trying to put their cars up on the starting line, and in the end, it was a very enjoyable event.

There was also our regular slate of racing for the month.
