This article is to help you build your own modified T-jet .The contents of this article include research from many men in the hobby. The information in this article is to simply help you build a chassis that will compete in many different forms of Modified T-Jet Racing.      ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. These cars can be very high maintenance machines and costly.

Lets Start with the Power Supply:
Alan Galinko and others have power supplies that will produce enough amps to supply some of the Motors you are about to view.   However, Battery Power has enough amps for any of the Motors below.

Neo-Jet Powered T-Jets {These are the Monster Drag Machines you read about} This Motor is going to be called a Spring Motor I got that name from Alan

Chassis and Parts List:
Stock T-Jet or Tough Ones Chassis
Vent for cooling and oiling
Super II Brush Cups
Radio Shack Dot Traction Magnets {Rare Earth} Super Glued under the chassis {as in Pic top/right}
Radio Shack Desoldering Braids added to the pick up shoes.  {See Pic}
Shunt wire from the pick up shoes to the bottom of the Super II brush cups.
Silicon Bronze or Aluminum Crown Gear  mobydidit@aol.com
Next thing is an AFX rear Axle
Rear Tires range from 0.430 to 0.450 (depends on your track), get the Sponge with Silicon overlay.
Wizzard and JB's have the rear Tires to use.  NO Slip on Tires here guys.
Fronts from Wizzard (or you can use the Aluminum ones from MM.)
Motor Magnets are Neo-Jets from my For Sale Page
Com Drops from Trinity or at your local RC car Hobby Shop  is used in the Super II Cups along with a Stock T-Jet pick up shoe Spring.  Com Drops coat the arm for more speed and durability.
Nothing is going to save these Motors with this kind of Horse Power, so we just try to slow down the process a little bit.
RT HO Racing produces the top cluster and idler gears for this little monster
A Tough Ones or Wizzard Cluster Gear set up will be needed for your Arm Plate.
Jim Gase sells a chassis with brush cups already installed. All you need to do is solder the joints.

Armatures:
This is the heart of the Motor and so far only two guys have stuck their heads up to do the rewinds.

Alan Galinko: AG&G Hobby and Electronics    Alan sells one that is simply called a Galinko Arm.
Jim Sgrignioli    Jim sells an arm called the Yellow Jacket
If you want to build your own arm and need Silver or Gold Plated com plates Troy Mead is supplying them for me to sell. See my For Sale page. Troy also is supplying me with Chassis that are Gold or Silver Plated.
Wheelie Bars:
Homemade ones or you can buy one from Kevin Crowe - The Winning Edge (Pictured) - 330-338-4057
Body needs to be a Hard Plastic Body.
This is Troy's Plating Work

 Neo-Jet or Poly-Jets Motors  {These Motors are not as radical as the Spring Neo Motor} This Motor is going to be called a Brush Motor I got that name from Alan also.

Chassis and Parts List:
Stock T-Jet or Tough Ones Chassis
Vent for cooling and oiling
Radio Shack Dot Traction Magnets {Rare Earth} Super Glued under the chassis {as in Pic above}
Radio Shack Desoldering Braids added to the pick up shoes.  {See Pic above}
Shunt wire from the pick up shoes to the rivots next to the brush tensioners
Silicon Bronze or Aluminum Crown Gear  mobydidit@aol.com
Next thing is an AFX rear Axle
Rear Tires range from 0.430 to 0.450 (depends on your track), get the Sponge with Silicon overlay.

Fronts from Wizzard (or you can use the Aluminum ones from MM.)
Motor Magnets are Neo-Jets or Poly-Jets from my For Sale Page
Silver Comutator Brushes are used in this Motor.  Produced by JB and Alan Galinko
RT HO Racing produces the top cluster and idler gears for this little monster also.
You could use standard t-jet gears on this motor, however we recommend the RT HO Racing ones.
A Tough Ones or Wizzard Cluster Gear set up will be needed for your Arm Plate.

Armatures:
On the Brush Motor you have many choices of Arms depending on you wish list.
Drag arms are wound with larger wire and tend to get very hot.
Street wound arms range from 3 to 5 ohms and last a very long time. I recommend the Poly-Jets for this set up.
Alan Galinko: AG&G Hobby and Electronics    Alan sells arms that will meet you needs.

Homemade ones or you can buy one from Kevin Crowe - The Winning Edge - 330-338-4057
Body needs to be a Hard Plastic Body.
