Aurora Grand National - New York replays the event from 1962

May 21, 2006 saw the reenactment of the famous Aurora race from the 60's, at Pete Serroan Parsippany, NJ Slot Car Show. Henry Harnish, the inimitable winner of the first race was the catalyst. Also in attendance Joe Hydek, who lost to Harnish in the qualifiers that year.

The format was not an exact reenactment, but certainly gave the flavor of the original. As with the original, all the bodies had to be Ford.
