Track Schematics - From Brian Ferguson

I get a lot of email from visitors to my web site who make comments about their wish lists for track layout designs. The layouts featured here in HO World are new plans resulting from those comments.

I had magnet cars in mind when I designed Alton Park. If you've ever seen a 1/24 commercial Blue King track, you'll probably recognize the loop and entry to the straight - it's a terrific combination. You can make the 6"/9" hairpin faster by building it as a raised corner - make the entry run uphill and the exit downhill, with the actual corner on the same slope. I'd love to see the esses before the loop done as a steep downhill combination much like the "corkscrew" at Laguna Seca!
